Easily accessible by train or car, the city of Norwich, half an hour’s drive away, is excellent for shopping, cafés, theatre, cinema complexes, the cathedral and the castle museum. The pretty Broadland villages, countryside, and RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen are all nearby. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches, backed with dunes, are 12 miles away. Great Yarmouth is easily accessible by car or train, as are the surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport, and Hopton-on-Sea, all offer great entertainment, ideal for a family holiday.
